Decent, but not the best

We've lived in Conneut Lake for 7+ years. The site is www.conneautlake.com The schools are better than most in the area and surrounding towns, but it's certainly far from perfect. Now that the Conneaut Lake Park has shut down, jobs have gone down and so has tourism. Unfortunately, there is still quite a bit of drugs here, but at least violence and related crime isn't as high as you'd expect. There's not much to do in Conneaut Lake, unless you get out of town. The main attraction here (other than the now-closed Park www.conneautlakepark.com) Otherwise, you can visit Lake Pymatuning, Lake Erie, etc.
Meadville, PA 16335 is the worst in the area, with tons of meth labs so you may want to avoid it. Their local paper also covers Conneaut Lake - it's www.meadvilletribune.com . Other residents also subscribe to the "Erie Times News" paper, which is also online.
Saegertown, PA 16433 is a better option if you're looking to raise a family in this area and give your children more extracurricular activity options.
